Face front True Believers! The latest bit of news to come from within the mighty halls of the Marvelous Marvel Studios is a juicy one indeed! At long last the role of legendary cosmic character Adam Warlock has been filled.
Will Poulter, known for his roles in hit films The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader and The Revenant, is set to appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. This will be the the first time the character (created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby) will be featured in a live action format after being hinted at and teased in previous MCU motion pictures.
According to Deadline the casting hunt for the part of Adam Warlock by director James Gunn and studio executives “began their lengthy search for the person would be playing Warlock at the end of August, with Poulter meeting along with several other actors for the coveted part. As it is common with any major Marvel property, execs and Gunn took their time with the role given how excited fans were when it was first teased. In the end, Poulter’s test was too good to pass up.”
