Director Nia DaCosta become first black female filmmaker to open a film at No. 1 domestically.
Brie Larson confirmed that filming has officially begun on the sequel to 2019’s blockbuster hit “Captain Marvel” which will be directed by Nia DaCosta and titled “The Marvels.”
Both Sony’s “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” and Universals “Candyman” reimagining have been pushed back until summer 2021. This news comes on the wake of hundreds of theaters being shut down indefinitely across the US and UK.
