Time Travel Adventure Movie Shifts from Paramount to Netflix

The team of Reynolds and Levy have found the code for hilarious outside-the-box films. That is most likely why Netflix scooped up the duo for their upcoming Netflix Original time travel adventure.

Paramount and Skydance had envisioned a time travel epic initially called Our Name Is Adam following an astronaut, played by Tom Cruise, that goes back in time and works with a younger version of himself.

Fast forward to the present, and the project has moved to Netflix, with Free Guy team Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy. The most current draft of the film is being penned by Jonathan Tropper. Tropper is basing the new project off of the screenplay by TS Nowlin, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett.

David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger will be producing the new movie. This would not be the first project from Skydance released by the streaming giant. Netflix recently debuted the Skydance film adaptation of Old Guard that starred Charlize Theron.

Reynolds is no stranger to working on a Netflix film either. In 2019, he starred in the Michael Bay-directed 6 Underground last year.

Free Guy was initially scheduled to be released on July 3rd of this year but is now slated to drop in December.

Based on the trailers, it looks like the team of Reynolds and Levy have found the code for hilarious outside-the-box films. That is most likely why Netflix scooped up the duo for their upcoming Netflix Original time travel adventure.
