“Kena: Bridge of Spirits” Announced for PlayStation 5

Ember Labs announced their new game during the PlayStation: Future of Gaming stream for PS5: “Kena: Bridge of Spirits.”

A Japanese setting gives this game an ethereal-looking aesthetic. Small, friendly black beings and magical, spirit-like monsters bring an air of fantasy to the stylised graphics yet maintain a fairly realistic-looking texture to most of the world—including the grasslands, architecture and clothing.

Currently, we do not know much about the plot and the overarching story, particularly in regards to the villain of the piece. The official Ember Lab website gives a short description of the game to come:

Kena, a young Spirit Guide, travels to an abandoned village in search of the sacred mountain shrine.  She struggles to uncover the secrets of this forgotten community hidden in an overgrown forest where wandering spirits are trapped.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a story-driven action adventure set in a charming world rich with exploration and fast-paced combat. Players find and grow a team of tiny spirit companions called the Rot, enhancing their abilities and creating new ways to manipulate the environment.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be available to play on PS5, PS4 and Epic Games Store in 2020.
