Director James Gunn reveals new “Guardians of the Galaxy” Spotify playlist

Director James Gunn announced on Instagram that he has created a new Spotify playlist comprised of all the songs Peter Quill (Star-Lord)’s mother Meredith listened to. A great deal of these songs were featured in Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 as part of the film’s soundtrack and Peter’s Awesome Mix Vol. 1 & 2 mix-tapes. Others didn’t make it into either of the films due to the director not being able to “find the right place for them.” Gunn mentions that he may use the unused tracks in future films, but wants listeners to have them now “for all of us to have some joyousness in these difficult times.” Check out the playlist and Gunn’s Instagram post below:
