Doctor Who LEGO Is On The Way!

Doctor Who fans have some exciting new merch to look forward to: our very own wibbly-wobbly LEGO set. The project was pitched on LEGO’s Ideas site about a year ago,  and has just been announced as a part of LEGO’s Second 2014 Review results.

The fan proposal includes the following:

-Tardis, exterior / interior walls.
-Interior console
-Totter’s Lane Street/Interior base
-K9
-1 Dalek red, or gray

-Minifigs w/dual faces
-1-2 Doctors; one older, and one more recent. (The submitter proposed Tennant or Capaldi and Tom Baker)

-2 Companions (Rose Tyler if Tennant is chosen, or Clara Oswald if Capaldi is chosen.)

-Weeping Angel (Face printed on both sides)
-Cyberman
-Sound brick for the iconic TARDIS sound

It’s important to note that this is only the fan proposal; the final design, availability, and price have not yet been determined by LEGO. The fan who originally submitted the idea has created artwork for games including Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol, Darksiders, and F.E.A.R.

I’ve never been very involved with LEGO in the past, but I’ll jump at the chance to buy this set, particularly if Tennant is one of the mini-figures. We’ll keep you updated as we hear more details about the set’s release!
