If you thought you saw the last of Assassins’ Creed III: Liberation’s fiery female protagonist Aveline at the end of the game, you may be in for a surprise.

Ubisoft has now revealed that the character will be expanding from PlayStation Vita to the PS3 and PS4 in the next installment of the highly popular series, Assassins’ Creed IV: Black Flag.

Why is this happening you might ask?

Adam Boyes, VP of Publisher and Developer Relations at SCEA has shed some light on this:

Ubisoft is no stranger to pushing the boundaries of play, and that is why we are expanding our partnership with PlayStation to bring PlayStation fans one-of-a-kind content for two of the year’s most anticipated games, Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag and Watch Dogs. With an hour of exclusive gameplay for each title, yet again we are blazing new trails by providing more unique experiences that can only be found on PlayStation.

It has been revealed that fans can expect to see three missions exclusively on PlayStation that will feature Aveline, the female lead from Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation on PlayStation Vita. No word yet if these missions will unlock any bonus content, but it probably goes without saying due to this being a very common trend for these games.

Looks like if you love Assassins’ Creed its a good day to be a PlayStation fan.
