After a revealing Reddit leak started flooding the internet with the idea of a potential Modern Warfare battle royale, it did not take long for Activision to do damage control. You might expect Activision would have just gone ahead and deleted the posts as much as they can, but it now turns out they would simply not stop there. It turns out people who have leaked other images of “Warzone,” even if they accidentally got into the game mode, and simply chose to share that on media, have gotten their accounts banned on platforms like Twitter. More so, people are even reporting that they have been banned on their consoles for posting images online.

What does all this mean? Well for starters, it means Activision is really protective of this game expansion, and really wanted to keep it a secret as long as they needed to. For this supposed Battle Royal mode however, it means that it is now even more likely to happen. If these leaks were not valid, Activision would not be caught in such a frenzy, and would instead ignore them. However, they are doing all they can to not only try and keep this game mode under the wraps for when its ready, but to also get to the bottom of who originally started this leak. All these actions give this leaked Battle Royal mode even more credibility now.

There are many reports that “Warzone” is going to arrive early March. For all news regarding Call of Duty and this supposed Battle Royal game mode, stay tuned to The Cultured Nerd.
