[RUMOR] Snow White and The Huntsman sequel drops Snow White

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Snow White and the Huntsman star Kristen Stewart will no longer be returning for the originally planned sequel, and now the follow-up will actually become the long rumored spin-off focusing on Chris Hemsworth’s Huntsman character instead.

This news comes following the aftermath of the recently exposed (and widely mocked thanks to Will Ferrell and other internet sites) romantic affair Stewart had with Rupert Sanders, the married man and director of the first film.

THR reports that Sources with ties to the production of the originally planned follow-up also claim Sanders will actually be returning for the sequel without Stewart, though nothing is completely certain or set in stone just yet. However, David Koepp, the writer of the first film, is rumored to not actually be returning due to the drastic change in the franchise’s direction.

In response to the rumors of the movies change in direction, A Universal Spokeswoman states:

“The studio is currently exploring options to continue the franchise” .

Rumors suggest that Universal is now searching for a new writer for the spin-off and are also hoping to begin filming next July, when Thor star Chris Hemsworth becomes available.

While it seems that the affair has taken center stage in the media for  some time now, its no surprise that it has also affected the career of Kristen Stewart in such a way, especially with the upcoming final installment of the Twilight movies coming out later this year, which stars Stewart and Robert Pattinson (whom its revealed she cheated on during production of the Snow White film) its widely believed that not only will the affair affect that movie as well.
