Final Fantasy VII remake comments from Yoshinori Kitase

In an interview with Motomu Toriyama and Yoshinori Kitase by techdigest.tv about the latest installment of the acclaimed Final Fantasy series, Techdigest asked them to comment their feelings about Final Fantasy VII as a game and about the rumors of its remake.

While both men worked on this game, Yoshinori Kitase was the only to comment, in which he said:

“IF it were possible that we had all the right facilities and the right environment to be able to make and prepare a Final Fantasy VII remake within a year, we’d very much like a go at it! But even Final Fantasy XIII has taken over three and a half years to create. If we were to recreate final Fantasy VII with the same level of graphical detail as you see in Final Fantasy XIII, we’d imagine that that would take as much as three or four times longer than the three and a half years it has taken to put this Final Fantasy together! So it’s looking pretty unrealistic! But if any such situation came about by any remote chance, then yes, we’d do it!”

While fans beg and plead for this game to be remade, many of Square-Enix’s latest comments have all pointed to the game being far too unrealistic of a venture to be made at this time, but there is always the possibility that this game could be made (or rather remade) in the future, so for now all we fans can do is wait for that possibility to see the light of day.
