“Mighty Ducks” sequel series begins filming for Disney+
That massive shot of nostalgia just makes you want to shout ‘Quack! Quack! Quack! Quack! Gooooo Ducks!’

The Mighty Ducks sequel series has commenced filming for Disney+, with Emilio Estevez confirmed to return as Coach Gordon Bonbay.

The original movie from 1992 saw Estevez coach a youth hockey team as part of his community service punishment for a DUI.

Disney+ have provided a synopsis for the series:
“In present day Minnesota, the Mighty Ducks have evolved from scrappy underdogs to an ultra-competitive, powerhouse youth hockey team.
After 12-year-old Evan (Noon) is unceremoniously cut from the Ducks, he and his mom Alex (Graham) set out to build their own ragtag team of misfits to challenge the cutthroat, win-at-all-costs culture of competitive youth sports.”
The series will not only star Estevez as Bombay, but also Brady Noon (Good Boys) as Evan and Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls) as Alex.
