When Marvel and Netflix annouced that they were partnering up for 4 streaming TV series runs fans knew that we would be seeing the characters and they always should have been. And now at the New York City Comic Con, we have our first look at Daredevil via concept art.

Along with the reveal, Netflix has rolled out the webpage for Daredevil and the following synopsis:

Marvel’s Daredevil is a live action series that follows the journey of attorney Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), who in a tragic accident was blinded as a boy but imbued with extraordinary senses. Murdock sets up practice in his old neighborhood of Hell’s Kitchen, New York where he now fights against injustice as a respected lawyer by day and masked vigilante at night.

While at first glance its obvious that this isn’t the final costume for the character, and more of a vigilante street attire, fans have noticed a striking resemblance to this comic page:

So it looks like fans will be seeing the characters true origins through this 13 episode season, and with it the evolution of Matt Murdock to the infamous Daredevil.

Marvel’s Daredevil hits Netflix in 2015.
