GO! GO! Power Rangers! – A Movie Reboot is in the works

With upcoming release of the Michael Bay produced remake of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, It seems that Hollywood is trying its hardest to capitalize on every part of my child hood. This week it has been announced that an all new Mighty Morphing Power Rangers movie is in the works. Saban stated that it they are working with Loinsgate to bring the protectors of Angel Grove to the big screen.

Haim Saban issued a statement saying:

” Lionsgate is the perfect home for elevating our Power Rangers brand to the next level, they have the vision, marketing prowess and incredible track record…. In partnership with the Lionsgate team, we’re confident that we will capture the world of the Power Rangers and translate it into a unique and memorable motion picture phenomenon with a legacy all its own”

All we have to go on right now is that the film has been announced, with no word on which of the many incarnations of the Rangers the film is going to be exploring. I know personally if the film does not have robot dinosaurs, and a dagger that is also a flute, then there is going to be no reason for me to see it.
