Sam Rockwell Talks Justin Hammer’s Return, May Possibly Be In AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D?

While many cant argue that Iron Man 2 felt more of an Avengers Prologue rather than an actual Iron Man film, its hard to argue the role of Justin Hammer, played by Sam Rockwell, as one of the higher points of the film.

Recently Vulture caught up with the actor and got him talking about a possible return for the character of Justin Hammer:

“Ah! I was hoping to come back in one of the Avengers films and come after Gwyneth Paltrow, because that’s what they set up, that I was going to get revenge on Gwyneth for getting me arrested or something. I could do a Cape Fear thing with Gwyneth. But they’ve got a lot of mojo in there already, so I don’t know if they need another pirate like me in the mix there! [Laughs.] Maybe S.H.I.E.L.D. is the way to go.”

While obviously this could just be the actor talking in jest, but it does raise some interesting, and exciting, possibilities of the characters return in the upcoming Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV show. Only time will tell if there ever will be any truth to it.
