The “Batman” Easter Egg in Man Of Steel has been revealed

This past Week/weekend the press got to see the highly anticipated Superman Reboot Man of Steel, and now as expected some of the films details are finding their way online.

While it has been known for some time that Man Of Steel was to be the new springboard for the rest of the DC Cinematic Universe, it was rumored that this film would not be set in a self-contained universe but it would also be referencing other characters as well. Steve Weintraub of Collider revealed that there is indeed one of those such references to Batman, or rather a reference to Wayne Enterprises.

The Wayne Enterprises logo is on a satellite that Zod destroys.

Weintraub admited that he didn’t even notice the reference during the movie, and that it is one of those “if you blink you might miss it” ones, but that  his colleagues over at at Omelete did spot the Wayne Enterprises easter egg, and because of it they reached out to director Zack Snyder and asked him directly if he would like to see Batman and Superman potentially team-up in Man of Steel 2.

This was his response:

“I don’t know. Everything is interesting at this point. And don’t forget that Lex is out there, doing who knows what…”

While it is great to hear that there is indeed a reference to Batman/Bruce Wayne in this film, I for one am personally glad its not the rumor of Joseph Gordon Levitt and rather a much more subtle one.

Man Of Steel hits US theaters on June 14th 2013.
