The next Xbox is offically called Xbox One. After weeks of speculation and rumored names like Xbox 720, Xbox Fusion, and even Xbox Infinity, Microsoft officially landed on Xbox One.
Microsoft announced the news no more than an hour ago in the offical reveal event in Seattle, and what seemed to be the most focused gimic was their contestant flaunting of their new Kinect (see image above) which will allow gamers to use gestures and voice control to interact with the new system. Saying “Xbox, on” starts up the machine, “Xbox, watch TV” will open up your television, and so on.
The specs of the system are:
- 8 Core CPU
- 8 GB System Memory
- 500 GBN HDD
- Blu-Ray DRive
- 802.11n Wireless with Wi-Fi Direct
- HDMI In/Out
- USBN 3.0
The Machine also sports a new smaller controller with updated buttons, joysticks, and triggers:
With the event still going on, more information is still on its way.
