Star-Wars-Rebels

While a great cry was indeed felt across the galaxy mourning the end of The Clone Wars, fans now can comfort themselves with the sweet knowledge that Star Wars Rebels is the next show from the same team. Clone Wars supervising director Dave Filoni  teased several weeks ago and now will be officially involved with the upcoming STAR WARS REBELS will be serving as the executive producer, along with Greg Weisman (Young Justice, Gargoyles). Simon Kinberg (who’s producing Episode VII and writing one of the upcoming spinoffs) is also executive producing and will be writing the shows first episode.

This new series is set to chronicle the roughly two-decade period between Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope, and as fans know during which “the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking shape.”

Its rumored that many storyline from the long awaited STAR WARS LIVE ACTION TV SERIES may actually find their way into this show, and its possible that even fan favorites like STAR WARS THE FORCE UNLEASHED may even find some references within it.

The show is scheduled to premiere in fall 2014 with an hour long special set to appear first on the Disney Channel before moving to its long-term home at Disney XD.  It is expected that the first real look at Star Wars Rebels  to arrive later this summer at Star Wars Celebration Europe in Germany, but a sneak peak has already been revealed and can be seen below:
