The Phantom pain is officially revealed as Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain

As countless gaming conspiracy theorists believed, The Phantom Pain is indeed the new Metal Gear Solid game.

Last year we saw The Phantom Pain’s announcement trailer get revealed shortly after the debut reveal of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, now today at GDC 2013 Hideo Kojima himself revealed that both titles are on in the same, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.

The game follows the continued story of Big Boss Aka Snake (that’s Naked Snake not Solid Snake), following the story line set forth first in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, but now Snake has been in a coma for 9 years, suffering from severe hallucinations, and it would seem the XOF team that he had run into before (as seen in the trailer) is out for blood and gunning for Snake.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is rumored to be released later this year in Q4 2013 for PS3 and XBOX 360.
