Michael Rowe Cast As Deadshot in ‘Arrow’ TV Show

Although the news broke yesterday that the new Green Arrow show would have the Batman villain Deadshot appear in its 3rd episode, TV Guide Magazine has broken the news that actor Michael Rowe has been cast as the assassin for the series’ third episode.

Andrew Kreisberg commented on which distinctive features we will see in the upcoming incarnation of the character, stating that;

“You’ll definitely see the red eye piece, which is the most distinctive, iconic feature of that character, and I will say that with no slam to Smallville intended, it’s a much more faithful version of Deadshot than the Deadshot that was in Smallville.”.

Marc Guggenheim explained this about the casting:

“Deadshot doesn’t speak much, so he has to have that physicality, and Michael certainly has that. He has that look,”

Arrow debuts on The CW this fall on Wednesday Oct. 10th 2012.
