Jeremy Adams inks multi-year contract with DC Comics

Jeremy Adams locks in with DC for the long haul, set to tackle Aquaman, Green Lantern, and more.

The DC Universe just secured a powerful new creative force for years to come. Acclaimed writer Jeremy Adams, whose work has spanned television, film, and animation, has officially signed a multi-year contract with DC Comics, ensuring his continued influence over some of the publisher’s most iconic characters.

A seasoned scribe with a deep love for the DC mythos, Adams has already made a name for himself with a 35-issue run on The Flash and his contributions to major DC events like Dark Crisis and Absolute Power. Now, under this new deal, he is set to steer some of DC’s most anticipated titles, including a new Aquaman ongoing series and a Green Lantern title spotlighting Hal Jordan. Adams is also co-writing Green Lantern Corps with Morgan Hampton, expanding the cosmic saga of DC’s legendary intergalactic protectors.

“As a fan first and a longtime admirer of DC’s legacy, it is an honor to follow in the footsteps of the luminaries whose words have thrilled, entertained, and inspired me since my earliest days,” Adams said. “It’s such a joy to bring these characters to life, to craft new twists, powers, and adventures, and to strive to provide the same level of imaginative entertainment that I’ve enjoyed for my entire life.”

Adams’ extensive background in storytelling extends beyond comics. He has been a major contributor to DC’s animated film slate, scripting fan-favorite movies like Batman: Soul of the Dragon, Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons, and Justice Society: World War II.

Beyond DC, Adams has lent his talents to television, working as a story editor and writer on Supernatural (including co-writing the fan-favorite Scoobynatural episode) and scripting episodes for Young Justice, Justice League Action, and Thunderbirds Are Go. His feature-length credits include co-writing Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans and writing the entire Mortal Kombat Legends animated movie saga.

With this new deal, Jeremy Adams solidifies his role as one of DC Comics’ premier architects, shaping the future of some of the publisher’s most beloved heroes. Fans can expect more action, heart, and high-stakes storytelling as Adams continues his journey in the DC Universe.
