Three new names added to Age of Ultron roster
Seems like the Age of Ultron just got a little more epic. The official Avengers: Age of Ultron poster released Tuesday reveals a trio of names missing from the film’s hype machine so far. According to the poster, we’ll see more of Anthony Mackie, Hayley Atwell, and Idris Elba’s characters Falcon, Agent Peggy Carter, and Baldur (respectively.)
While Falcon seems like a natural choice for the film (being Cap’s buddy and all), Agent Carter and Baldur means the film will take us to some unexpected places. Atwell has already let us know her character would make an appearance in Ant-Man, but flash backs to Cap’s time in Age of Ultron is news to us. Likewise, Elba has already let it slip that he would be returning as Baldur, so we’ll likely be spending some time on Asgard. However, Baldur’s role is still unknown, so there’s always the possibility of Thor calling on his Asgardian friends to help out with defeating Ultron.
Mackie’s Falcon is rumored to appear at the end of the film as a member of a new team of Avengers headed up by Captain America. This would likely lead us straight into Captain America: Civil War with the new team fighting alongside Cap’s side against whatever threat he’ll be facing in that film.
All (most?) of these questions will be answered when Avengers: Age of Ultron opens May 1.
