Yesterday came news that shook the entertainment world like nobody ever saw coming. DC and Warner Brothers finally revealed their plans for their upcoming DC film slate, which saw the reveal of Solo films for Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Shazam, and even Cyborg. But of all the films slated, none of them were DC’s “Big Two,” but a fact that was seemingly overlooked what that amidst all the revealed dates and projects, WB’s Studio Head Kevin Tsujihara made a passing remark revealing that both Superman and Batman would also be getting their own solo films before 2020.
So how is this possible? Not sure. Both of the actors playing Batman and Superman seem to already have their plates pretty full right now. With filming currently taking place for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and back-to-back filming for both Justice League films before its 2017 release date, it seems like if both of these actors are going to be also filming their own solo-films, they are going to have to be filming sometime over the next two years to make any sort of 2020 release window promise.
While i’m banking on the idea of this happening, I would love to see it happen. DC has seriously been lacking a presence on the movie front over the last decade and this new found massive push they are making comes as a breath of fresh air for DC fans.
Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice is currently set for a March 25th 2016 release date.
