[Rumor] New Details on Lex Luthor in BATMAN V SUPERMAN: Dawn Of Justice
Several months ago DC and Warner Brothers shocked everyone when they revealed actor Jesse Eisenberg would be joining Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice as the infamous Lex Luthor.
While at this point the jury is still out on the final verdict in this casting. At this point all judgments seem to be either extremely positive or extremely negative, but everyone can admit that final judgments must be held off until we see the film itself.
Earlier in the week the site Batman-News posted an “exclusive” scoop that detailed Lex Luthor’s appearance in the film, which this incarnation included a full head of hair:
LexCorp scenes were filmed over the past two days and a source tells Batman News that Eisenberg has “a lot of hair”. It’s not Eisenberg’s typical curly look — it’s a bit longer, kind of loose and wavy, and it’s dirty blonde. Eisenberg’s Luthor has spastic mannerisms, like a 20-something guy that pounds energy drinks all day. I’m told that the scenes shot take place towards the beginning of the movie… so maybe there’s still a chance that Lex Luthor could show up bald by the end? We’ll have to wait and see.
At first fans began to freak out thinking that we were simply getting an evil adaptation of “The Social Network” film, or an over the top Gene Hackman approach, but now thanks to JoBlo, we may now have an idea of what to expect from the motivations of Lex Luthor in the up coming film, which if true, would be a breath of fresh air compared to his previous cinematic incarnations.
Lex Luther (who is rumored to have longish red hair at the beginning of the film) thinks he is god’s gift to humanity and the best that humanity has to offer, which leads to his hatred of Superman. Because Superman is basically a “god” it makes Lex feel less than perfect. Lex tries to sway people to dislike and fear Superman – and many people ARE swayed. Some see Superman as a hero, while others see him as the ultimate threat.
BATMAN V SUPERMAN: Dawn Of Justice is currently slated for a May 6th 2016 release date with expected news set to debut at Comic Con in July.
