The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is primed to be a summer blockbuster, and like most comic book films, this one has a video game tie in. Following the tradition of pretty much every single Spider-Man film to date, The Amazon Spider-Man 2 is getting its own console tie-in later this summer, with the game hitting every console on the market with the exception of Xbox One.

Activision broke the news to MCV that the fate of the Xbox One edition is up in the air.

The game itself is slated to launch on April 29, and is being published for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, Windows PC and Xbox 360. But recently all mentions of the Xbox One version have been mysteriously now removed from the game’s official website.

“We want to inform you that we are revising our release plans for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on Xbox One, when and whether The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is released on Xbox One is TBD.”

When contacted for comment by the site Polygon, a representative for Activision revealed that they are :

“working with Microsoft in an effort to release The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game on Xbox One.”

But aside from that, no further news has been revealed.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is currently set for release on April 29 on all current consoles except Xbox One.
