New Batman Vs. Superman Casting Rumor Hints At Cyborg
A new rumor thanks to the guys over at Latino Review has revealed that the producers of Batman/Superman are now out looking to cast a young, athletic, black actor in his 20’s for a role in the upcoming film.
According to sources, the production is currently looking for a black actor in his early 20s who is also physically fit. Here is the kicker though: the part is for a small role in the untitled Batman Vs Superman movie BUT will be recurring in other upcoming DCU films.
While at this point, aside from the brief casting description it seems like it is clearly a character that they plan to set up for a future occurrence, but here is the biggest kicker apparently there is already an actor being eyed for the role.
At first I thought it was some little role but then I also found out that Zack Snyder has met with hot actor Michael B. Jordan for the role.
Now they go on to point out that Snyder doesn’t necessary meet with anyone, and that in previous reports it is revealed that Snyder only meets with people who are seriously considered for a role, and the role is significant enough to call for the director himself to make it a personal visit.
So who could it be? Rumors are pointing directly at Victor Stone aka Cyborg. In the comics Victor Stone is a young Football start who, after a horrific accident which causes multiple limbs to be removed and the loss of function to most of his body, is rebuilt by his father at STAR Labs and eventually joins the Justice League.
While we know that the film has already filmed a football scene, and STAR Labs has already be mentioned in the first film, many are seeing the dots and drawing the lines between them.
Batman/Superman is currently set to hit theaters May 6, 2016.
