Johnny Depp up for Marvel’s ‘Doctor Strange’?

The World Premiere of Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films' "The Lone Ranger"

Latino-Review has seemingly done it again. They have revealed that according to an inside source, Johnny Depp is being highly considered for Doctor Strange, Marvel’s Key player in their Phase 3 of their highly successful Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“A well-connected source informed me tonight that Johnny Depp has taken a meeting with Marvel to discuss taking on the role of Dr. Strange,”

They also revealed that according to them, Marvel is eager to land Depp as part of their franchise, despite the obvious commercial failure of The Lone Ranger, however they also noted that the current script is drafted with a 30 year old actor in mind, to which they believe Marvel is prepared to rework it to better fit the 50-year-old actor.

However, there is one thing that they do note:

As always, though, let me remind you that this is Hollywood. Plans change. Offers expire. Negotiations stall. So while Depp has met with Marvel, and both sides want this to work, it doesn’t mean it will.

I honestly  would rather have someone else, but if he gets it I admit they could do worse.
