The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that the long-in-development (what many consider at this point Development-hell) Masters of the Universe has now landed a new writer, namely Terry Rossio, the co-writer recent big-budget movies like Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lone Ranger and that Zorro sequel that many claimed took all the fun out of the first film.

But the reveal comes with some bad news,  G.I. Joe 2 director Jon M. Chu is no longer attached to direct.

So back to the drawing board for who’s going to direct this film, which may have just put the film right back into development-hell once again.
