Ben Affleck is the new Batman

Yes you are reading that correctly. Multiple sources across the Internet from USA Today all the way to Perez Hilton are all breaking the news. DC Comics and Warner Brothers has named actor Ben Affleck as the new Batman for the upcoming Batman/Superman film.

While its a huge shock to everyone right now, it does seem to have some previous grounding with rumors of this casting spanning back several months now.

I for one will reserve my judgments of this casting until I see how he looks on film, which will probably be through a trailer sometime next year.
