NINJA TURTLE Film Reboot now has all 4 Turtles Cast
Yes you heard me right, it was revealed via Deadline that the highly controversial Michael Bay produced reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film franchise dubbed NINJA TURTLES has now cast all 4 lead Turtles.
The Upcoming film will be Directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath Of the Titans) and produced by Michael Bay (Transformers… and if you really don’t know who this guy is I wont bother). Recently it was revealed that Megan Fox would be playing the role of News Reporter April O’Neil, but now it looks like the film is picking up its pace with the addition of the turles being cast.
Raphael was cast first late last week, with the role is going to Alan Ritchson (Aquaman from Smallville, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire). Now we have Pete Ploszek (Parks And Recreation, Shameless) playing Leonardo, Jeremy Howard (Galaxy Quest) as Donatello, and Noel Fisher (Battle: Los Angeles) is playing the youngest turtle Michaelangelo.
The Studio also notes that they hope to cast the role for The Shredder very soon as to being production.
Unlike previous Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle films, this one is going to be shot with motion capture technology, like which was used very successfully in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, so before anyone freaks out and starts saying “How dare this actors play the roles of my beloved turtles! They aren’t tall enough, look the part, etc… yada yada” you have to realize that they will primarily be providing voices and facial motion capture work with presumed actual martial artists doing the physical body work for the CGI.
Ninja Turtles is scheduled to release in the USA on June 6th 2014
