“The Last of Us” gets a new trailer!

IGN released a brand new exclusive trailer for the upcoming PS3 game “The Last of Us”. Although its not as long as the initial debut trailer, its still equally as amazing, and it also showcases a whole new slew of footage.

The Last of Us is an upcoming post-apocalyptic third-person survival action-adventure video game developed by Naughty Dog (Crash Bandicoot, Jak and Daxter, Uncharted) exclusively for the PlayStation 3. Taking inspiration from  the movies No Country for Old Men and The Road, as well as the comic series The Walking Dead, and , Richard Matheson’s 1954 novel I Am Legend (and the subsequent films it inspired).It has been revealed that the game will be set (or at the very least start) in post-apocalyptic Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and it has been hinted at slowly moving its way into other, near by, cities.  It is rumored that the game is set in a world infected by a new fungus based virus, turning people into unusual plant-like zombies. The gameplay will consist of various types of survival and scavenging play, as well as action elements that involve the infected. While the game was first revealed November 29, 2011, it is rumored that the game has been in production and development in secret for over 6 years, and all the footage shown thus far is all run on its in-game graphics engine.
