Variety is reporting that Keanu Reeves will star in a big-screen, live-action version of Japanese anime TV series ‘Cowboy Bebop’ for 20th Century Fox.
Reeves is cast as none other than the titles lead character, Spike Spiegel, a bounty hunter born on mars who is captain of the ship “the Bebop” traveling through space in the year 2071.
No word yet on a release date or even suspected filming dates, but the movie has already gotten its writer, Peter Craig, and a few producers signed up for it, Erwin Stoff and Joshua Long.
