The Marvel Cinematic Universe Timeline Gets an Update
Marvel has updated it’s Cinematic Universe timeline which is now available to stream on Disney+.
The updated timeline can also be found on Marvel’s official website. It gives us a clearer picture where it’s most recent entries, Deadpool & Wolverine and Agatha All Along, fit in the grand scheme of the MCU.
Taking a look at the timeline you might be wondering why Spiderman No Way Home is not on the updated list. That’s because this timeline is only for Marvel movies and series which are available to watch on Disney+. Spiderman No Way Home is currently not available to see on the streamer.
Of interesting note also is what is actually considered part of the Earth 616 timeline. Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter, Inhumans, Runaways and Cloak and Dagger are not on the list, although you can still watch these series on Disney+. While these shows would be considered part of the Marvel multiverse they are not part of the MCU’s main timeline.
Earth 616, also known as the sacred timeline, is the main timeline where events from the MCU take place in. Earth 616 is also the same name which the Marvel comics use to to distinguish it’s primary setting.
The most recent entries in the Marvel Cinematic Universe can be found at the end of the list. Deadpool & Wolverine comes after What if…? season 2 and is followed by Agatha All Along. Agatha All Along was the most recent series to be released by Marvel Studios. The two previous Deadpool movies do not appear on the list as they take place in another timeline.
Marvel Studios next series is What if…? season 3. The series will drop December 22nd on Disney+.
The timeline comes in quite handy with Avengers Doomsday less than a year and a half away. Who’s up for a rewatch?
