Hannibal Creator Fuller wants to do Lambs Sequel

The creator of the critically acclaimed series Hannibal, Bryan Fuller, wants to make a sequel to the series, bringing back Mads Mikkelsen as Hannibal with Zendaya as Clarice Starling.

According to screenrant the writer and producer revealed his hopes for a sequel series to 2013’s Hannibal starring Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy.

Whilst promoting his new horror film Dust Bunny at the Toronto International Film Festival the creator was asked about the possibility of a continuation of the characters from Hannibal.

My dream project is to do a limited series of Silence of the Lambs with Mads and Zendaya as Clarice Starling. If I could put anything out into the universe, I would put that into the universe.

While such a series currently seems unlikely at this time it’s certainly enough to stoke interest. Fans of Hannibal were left wanting more when the series concluded in 2015 on something of a literal cliffhanger. Bringing back Mads Mikkelsen and adding Zendaya as Clarice Starling would be fantastic to see on screen.

Dust Bunny, written and directed by Fuller, arrives in theaters December 12.
