Creators of ‘Cobra Kai’ in talks for new ‘Knight Rider’ film
The 80’s brought the world David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight, fighting against crime with the help of his AI car, KITT. The show was Knight Rider, and it ran for four seasons from 1982-1986. Now, the creators of Netflix‘s hit six-season show, Cobra Kai, are in talks to spearhead a Knight Rider reboot.
Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg – creators of Cobra Kai – would craft the new feature film. All three would jointly produce the film and write the screenplay. In addition both Hurwitz and Schlossberg would serve as directors. Once again, this is still in the “talks” phase, but many fans of the 80’s classic would be excited to see this story given new life. And for anyone who’s a fan of Cobra Kai, well, you may have another hit headed your way.
In addition to this team, Gary Barber and Chris Stone would help produce the film as well as David Leitch and Kelly McCormick.
