Superman Takes Flight in New TV Spot
DC Studios and Warner Bros. have taken fans to new heights with the release of a brand-new TV spot for Superman. Following the record-breaking teaser trailer, which racked up over 250 million views since its December debut, this latest promo offers a few fresh glimpses into James Gunn’s reimagining of the Man of Steel.
Titled the “Icon” TV Spot, the short clip revisits several powerful moments from the trailer, including the striking image of Superman wounded and kneeling in the snow. But eagle-eyed fans will spot two exciting new additions: a look at Lex Luthor exiting from one of his airships onto an icy wasteland and, most notably, our first official glimpse of Superman soaring through the skies.
The depiction of Superman’s flight has been a hot topic of speculation leading up to the film, and Gunn doesn’t disappoint. Taking inspiration from Zack Snyder’s kinetic approach, the sequence features a thrilling POV shot of Superman from behind, smoothly transitioning to a head-on view as he cuts through the air with effortless grace.
Superman, directed by James Gunn, is set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. What are your thoughts on the new footage? Let us know in the comments below!
