Is Maria Robotnik headed to the big screen?
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is on its way to theaters later this year, and for those who didn’t see Sonic the Hedgehog 2, well, spoiler alert: Shadow is here! Introduced at the end of the franchise’s second film, Shadow is expected to be a major part of the third film coming out in late 2024. Now, people are asking if Maria Robotnik will be a character in the movie, and here’s why.
Actress Alyla Browne recently posted a photo from the Sonic 3 set that has people wondering if she’s playing Maria Robotnik. Maria’s character is a young, blonde girl with a special friendship with Shadow. Now, the blonde actress has posted a photo of herself on Instagram sitting in a chair with the name “Maria” written on it. The writing on the wall (or the chair) seems to suggest that fans will get to see this character from the Sonic universe on the big screen when the movie premiers. A young blonde actress playing a character named Maria in a Sonic film focusing on Shadow? All signs seem to point to “yes”!
