I’ve had a blast playing such an awesome character over the years! #Deadpool will be kick-ass with #TimMiller and @VancityReynolds #BestFans — daniel cudmore (@danielcudmore) February 17, 2015
Colossus was rumored to be in the upcoming X-Men spinoff after it was announced that Gina Carano would be playing the part of the Morloc, Angel Dust. The reports mentioned the character would be in the film in passing, but it wasn’t clear if Cudmore would return to the role.
While he was rarely given lines as Colossus, Cudmore certainly had the right look and physique for the metallic mutant. Personally, I thought the character wasn’t given nearly enough screen time and would like to see a lot more of him. With Cudmore not appearing in Deadpool, it could mean that Colossus has been cut from the movie altogether.
