[Rumor] Eric Sachs is not the Shredder in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Ever since William Fitcher was revealed to be playing “The Shredder” in the TMNT reboot fans have been in an uproar, but thanks to the latest trailer (and subsequent breakdown) fans had been given a glimmer of hope that Oroku Saki would indeed be seen in the film.

But thanks to a recent viewing of a chunk of footagte, JoBlo has now revealed the following:

And just so we are clear:

JL: William Fichtner isn’t Shredder. He’s Eric Sachs. Shredder is played by another actor. He’s not all CG. You see him without his armor on. When he’s in the armor, there’s an actor, but he’s been augmented. Like in “Iron Man,” it’s CGI.

While at this point, until the footage is revealed online for fans (or when the film comes out) we can just take this with another pound of salt, but if its true it may be time to now look at those “Eric Sachs is the Krang” rumors a little more intently.
