[E32014] PlayStation Now hitting PS4 this July

PlayStation Now will be available to the United States and parts of Canada on July 31st. The new streaming service will release with close to 100 games total with varying price ranges and rental periods. Being one of the few to have a look at the beta myself, I’ve seen rental period options of 1, 7 and 30 days. There have also been reports of a subscription service to be available to customers as well, which would allow players to take advantage of many games at an easy to manage price.

As expected, pricing points will vary for each individual game and rental period. For example, there will be shorter rental periods priced as low as $2.99, and most titles will be between $2.99 and $19.99. As with all content published on PlayStation platforms, publishers and developers will ultimately decide their game price points. Furthermore, SCE plans to offer subscription options in the future.

Additionally, while Sony only noted a beta date for North America, the company mentioned that it will continue to prepare the service for Europe and Japan.
