To everyone’s great disappointment, the highly anticipated Batman: Arkham Knight has been officially delayed until 2015.
Reports come from IGN who received the official announcement directly from Rocksteady at an event this morning after being able to test some of the game’s new gameplay.
Though the game was originally due out on PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 14 this year, it seems the developer has had a change of heart. No reasons for the delay were given, though it’s safe to assume the studio wants to make sure it goes out with a bang. On the plus side, with October and November this year already looking busy, it’s probably not the worst thing in the world.
No word yet on when the game will be released, the vague “2015” date could end up being that it’s only delayed a few months with release in Q2 2015 much like what happened with Ubisoft’s WATCH_DOGS.
Official word on the new release date is expected next week at E3.
