Sony Confirms and Denies “The Last Of Us” for PS4
The Last Of Us is easily considered one of the best games in recent years. From its rave reviews, to the recent announcement of a film adaptation, you cant really go to any gaming site without hearing the games name referenced somewhere.
Earlier this week an interview on CNN Turkey’s Multiplayer TV program, PlayStation Turkey VP Sercan Sulun revealed that The Last of Us would be getting the re-release treatment and would be coming to PS4 this summer.
IGN was able translate the interview which revealed the following details:
There is no information about a new The Last of Us game but I can share this knowledge; as of this summer, The Last of Us will be on the PS4. Both on PSN and physically. The PS4 version will also include the DLC so you will be able to play ‘Left Behind’ as well.P
The news began to make waves, and no doubt Sony had to comment. But that’s where things get interesting.
Sony Europe sent over the following comment to Eurogamer:
“At no time have we announced that The Last of Us is coming to PS4 and therefore, have nothing to say on the subject.”
So right now we are all sitting around wondering, who has it right? Did Sercan Sulun jump the gun and ruin a potential big reveal? or was he completely wrong with his info and revealed something thats 100% not true?
At this point everyone seems to be reaching out to Sony for a comment, hopefully fans will have their answers soon.
