Recently thanks the image above, a rumor hit the web that Ubisoft had another Assassins’ Creed game in the works for release later this year. But now thanks to an interesting find from the site Gamespot, Spanish retailer, XtraLife, had temporarily listed Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix as a PlayStation Vita game and also included a street date.
While this cant be taken as concrete evidence of its validity, it does imply that if the Spanish retailer’s listing is true, we’re looking at another “Abstergo Produced“ PS Vita spinoff, which if its anything like Assassins Creed III Liberation, it will probably be set in a similar time period as Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and will probably feature some sort of connectivity options upon its release.
The listing (which was originally removed, but thanks to the wonders of the internet we were able to find a screen shot) included an October 10 street date, which many have pointed out is strategically placed three weeks before Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag’s official US release.
Hopefully with E3 just around the corner, Ubisoft will make an official reveal, until then, its back to the rumor mill for now.
