INJUSTICE GODS AMONG US gets a Release date, “Battle Edition”, and gives new look at its DLC

Fans of Mortal Kombat should have expected this to happen, Warner Brothers Interactive and DC Entertainment have a announced that DC Comics’ new fighting game INJUSTICE Gods Among Us will be hitting US stores on April 16th 2013.

The Game itself is releasing on the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U and the newly announced Battle Edition will be bundled with the following:

• Three exclusive skins for the New 52 costumes of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman
• Exclusive Injustice: Gods Among Us Fight Stick, a lightweight controller that boasts a non-skid foam underside, a lockout feature for the Start, Select and Guide buttons, as well as adjustable illumination for the buttons and joystick.

While many saw this coming, what seems to be the most interesting part to me is the visual confirmation of the upcoming “New 52” DLC skins.

What also seems to have created a whole new slew of rumors was the recently revealed International Collectors Edition.

While the International Collectors Edition already sports a new statue and a flashy steelbook case, what has caused more rumors is what is printed on that case.

Yes, that is exactly what it looks like, Arkham Asylum/Arkham City Batman.

While it could be a simple error in the art department for this game, its more likely to it actually be a real included character skin for this game.

While it has already been confirmed that “New 52” DLC is planned, and GameStop is getting a timed exclusive “RED SON” DLC pack (which can be seen here), it is more than likely to assume that WB/DC Comics/NeatherRealm studios has even more DLC planned, including the already rumored addition of the characters Aquaman, Shazam, Sinestro, and Doomsday.
