Sony Announce New Cross-Buy Feature For PlayStation 3 And Vita Multiplatform Games

 

Another big Gamescon announcement for Sony is the newly announced a new “Cross-Buy” feature for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

The new feature is quite literally exactly what it sounds like, if a game is on both systems, and you can buy it for the PlayStation 3 you get the PSVita version for free.

Sony announced that the first game that will officially be part of its new Cross-Buy catalogue is the upcoming PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, then shortly after Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time and Ratchet & Clank: QForce, will be a part of it as well.

Sony also shared at Gamescom that more titles with Cross-Buy functionality will be available in the future as well, and that they are aiming to receive support from many of their 3rd party developers.
