Star Wars Skeleton Crew Arrives a Day Early on Disney+
Star Wars Skeleton Crew will be released Monday, December 2nd, on Disney+, a day earlier than originally scheduled.
Star Wars Skeleton Crew, Lucasfilm’s latest addition to the Star Wars universe, will premiere the first two episodes of the series on Monday, December 2nd, with future episodes releasing every Tuesday after that according to Variety.
The 8 episode series is the brainchild of Spiderman No Way Home director Jon Watts and Spiderman Homecoming screenwriter Christopher Ford. Watts directed both the first and final episode of the series. Skeleton Crew will be set in the New Republic era, the same time frame as The Mandalorian and Ahsoka, and will be a coming of age story about four children on an adventure to get back to their home planet.
Here’s the official synopsis for the show:
Skeleton Crew tells the story of four kids searching for their home planet after getting lost in the Star Wars galaxy, and the strange aliens and dangerous places they encounter on their adventure.
The series stars Jude Law as a mysterious force user named Jod Na Nawood that the kids will encounter on their adventure. Law, who has said he always wanted to be Han Solo as a child, describes Nawood as a quick thinker who uses his charm to get out of difficult situations.
Joining Law on the cast are Nick Frost, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, Tunde Adebimpe and Kerry Condon.
