Denzel Washington tapped for a potential role in Black Panther 3
The Wakandan cat’s out the bag!
During the press tour for the upcoming Gladiator II film, Academy Award winner Denzel Washington has confirmed on Today Show Australia that one of his future roles will be for Black Panther 3.
While the interview in the gold coast was underway, Denzel accidentally lets out the huge, intriguing detail in response to the hosts asking him whether he still carried any anxiousness regarding starring in flicks like Gladiator.
At this point in my career, I’m only interested in working with the best. I don’t know how many more films I’m going to make, probably not that many. I want to do things that I haven’t done. I played Othello at 22, I’m now going to play it at 70. After that, I’m playing Hannibal. After that, I’ve been talking with Steve McQueen about a film. After that, Ryan Coogler is writing a part for me in the next Black Panther. After that, I’m going to do the film Othello. After that, I’m going to do King Lear. After that, I’m going to retire.
Although fans of Denzel will soon miss seeing him grace their theater’s screens for a brand new release, they can purchase his previous releases digitally and/or physically as they currently anticipate his performance in Gladiator II which enters the theatrical arena on November 22nd, 2024. Marvel has not officially confirmed or formally announced a third installment of Black Panther at this time.
