“Spider-man: No Way Home” debuts Official Trailer
The official trailer for Spider-man: No Way Home was released today and it sure does deliver on the big surprises that Sony had claimed it will have! The new trailer reveals the Sinister-Six roster as we get glimpses of Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, Electro, Sandman, and Lizard. You can watch them wreak havoc in what appears to be the showdown in the trailer below.
The black Spiderman suit which was revealed in the teaser is heavily featured here and seems like it will have something to do with the multiverse and Dr Strange’s spells. The trailer also has a more serious tone throughout when compared to the other two films in this trilogy. The trailer features the villains heavily as we see Green Goblin’s return from the Sam Raimi trilogy (we also hear him speak!), a redesigned Electro from The Amazing Spiderman Duology (with his crown!), and also features powered up Sandman and Lizard, from their respective universes, in a team-up as they try to take down our friendly neighbourhood!
There was a moment in the trailer where DocOck says “You’re not Peter Parker” when he confronts Tom Holland. Now, this could be the tease that plays on the rumours and leaks of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield returning, or it could just be brushed off as a variant play in the MCU multiverse! The official synopsis for the film, as things stand now, reads –
For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighbourhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange, the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.
