DC Annouces’ VIXEN Animated Series Coming to CW Seed Web Service

When it was revealed yesterday that The CW was renewing Arrow for a 4th season, The Flash for a second, and now talking about giving The Atom his own spin-off, nobody saw this next part coming. Announced at the Television Critics Association press tour on Sunday, Vixen will be featured in a new animated webseries, based on the DC Comics’ character of the same name, is headed to CW Seed, The CW’s digital-only studio.

But the biggest news of this announcement? Vixen will be set in the same cannon as The Flash and Arrow, with both heroes appearing in animated form.

No word yet on a release date, but many are assuming that it will be premiering online sometime in the fall 2015 time frame.
