Obi-Wan Kenobi appearing in Star Wars: Rebels?

With the release of Star Wars Rebels just around the corner, its no surprise that more news about plot and included characters would be coming out of the woodwork. According to Jedi News, a recent Disney Store and Hasbro sneak peak event showcased a big display of Star Wars Rebels characters that would be included in their toyline.

One character stood out to many, namely a version of the Jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi that seemed to imply that he would be appearing in the show. 

So the big question is if he will become a reoccurring character or just a guest appearance. While the show is pitting itself as the “birth of the Rebel Alliance,” it would be an interesting play to have Obi-Wan be a key factor in its birth.

While admittedly this is all speculation based on one tiny image, it will be interesting to see what comes to play when the show does release.

Star Wars: Rebels is set to release later this year on Disney XD.
