Pokémon’s Gengar Voice Actor Takes on Superman in New All-Star Audio Drama

DC Comics plans to transform their hit All-Star Superman series into an audio drama production which will become available on June 24, 2025. Marc Thompson who has voiced Pokémon Journeys and multiple Star Wars audiobooks will bring both Superman and Zibarro to life through his voice acting skills.

The audio production brings together 25 actors who include Kristen Sieh as Lois Lane and Christopher Smith as Lex Luthor and Brandon McInnis as Jimmy Olsen and Ray Porter as Jor-El. Meghan Fitzmartin adapts the story to explore deeper character emotions through internal monologues which expand on thoughts that the original comic book format could not fully express.
The audio drama features original music and dynamic sound effects to create a complete auditory experience of All-Star Superman while maintaining the original story created by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely. The 12-issue comic stands as one of the most important and emotionally powerful Superman narratives in comic book history.
The audio format release demonstrates an emerging pattern of premium comic book adaptations which provide fans with innovative ways to enjoy their favorite stories. The upcoming audio drama provides an exciting new way for both devoted Superman fans and newcomers to enter the world of the Man of Steel when it debuts in June.
